How to Associate/Disassociate a Controller and Installation
At any time in Control Hub, you can set a controller to be associated with or disassociated from a specific photo installation.
You can also swap out a faulty controller mid-project with a spare controller, without losing that installation settings and photos. Learn more about the Controller Replacement feature.
Attaching an installation is most often used when you have an additional controller not-in-use that you want to begin using again.
Detaching an installation is most often used to finish capturing photos with a controller, but when you don’t want the installation and its associated settings, photos, details, etc. to be deleted.
How to associate a controller with an installation
- Login to Control Hub and navigate to Management - Controllers.
- Locate the serial of your controller and click on Details.
- Under Installation details use the drop-down to select the installation to which you want to attach the controller.
- You also have the option in the drop-down to create a new installation.
- Click on the Attach Installation button.
- If you selected create a new installation, fill out all the fields and click the Create Installation button.
You have now attached the selected controller to the selected installation.
How to disassociate a controller from an installation
- Login to Control Hub and navigate to Management - Controllers.
- Locate the serial of your controller and click on Details.
- Under Installation details, click on the Detach Installation button.
You have now detached the selected controller from its installation. Note that the installation (now with no associated controller) is still active. To conclude the installation, follow the steps outlined here.
