How to Change the Photo Forwarding Location Mid-Project

Forwarding one copy of each image to one Photo Forwarding location is included as part of your Cloud Services subscription. It may be a requirement to change this location mid-project. See the article titled How to Set-up Photo Forwarding if you are setting up your first Photo Forwarding location, or you are setting it up at the beginning of a project. There is an extra charge in having more than one of each photo forwarded, so ensure you disable the old Photo Forwarding location before setting up a new Photo Forwarding location to prevent multiple copies of an image being sent through.

Deactivate or Delete the Existing Photo Forwarding Location

Ensure the existing Photo Forwarding location is deactivated or deleted before activating a second location so that additional charges don’t apply.

    1. Login to Control Hub
    2. Select your installation from the Installation drop-down
    3. Navigate to the Photo Forwarding tab
    4. Select the Edit or the Delete icon
    5. If editing, select the Active/Inactive slider to set it to Inactive, and uncheck the Use as Primary checkbox

Set-up a New Photo Forwarding Location

The next step is to add a new Photo Forwarding location. Follow the steps on the How to Set-up Photo Forwarding page to create a new Photo Forwarding location.

Existing Images

If you require the existing images to be synced with your new location, there are a few options available.

If you have a copy of all the images on your existing Photo Forwarding location, simply download them from the existing provider (e.g. by logging into Google Drive), and upload them to the new Provider’s location (e.g. by logging into OneDrive).

If all the images have been saved to an external storage device, manually retrieve the images from the external storage device (which will require a site visit) and then upload them to your new Photo Forwarding location.

If you no longer have a copy of the existing images, and/or need to obtain another copy from our servers, you will need to purchase Additional Photo Forwarding data to allow the previously-forwarded photos to be sent to the new location. The additional credits can be purchased from the Services tab of your installation. Once you have purchased Additional Photo Forwarding data, you can upload the photos to your new Photo Forwarding location in two ways:

Option 1: Via the Control Hub Photo List page
    1. Navigate to the Photo List page
    2. Increase the Items per page to show all required images (e.g. 10000) and wait for the page to load fully
    3. Click the Select All button and wait for the page to load fully
    4. Click the Backup Selected button to resend them to your Photo Forwarding location

Tip: If you want to send only a particular date range of photos, use the Filter by Date function to limit the results.

      Option 2: Via photoSentinel Utilities

Download the photos using photoSentinel Utilities and then upload them to your new Photo Forwarding location. A guide for photoSentinel Utilities can be found on the photoSentinel Utilities Guide and Download Link page.
