photoSentinel friend Joe Capra (aka Scientifatastic) has hit the web running with his latest time-lapse, wracking up 17,000 views on Vimeo in just two days. 14 days of 18-plus hours of shooting has evolved into a beautiful time-lapse that contrasts the bustling of the city beaches with the serenity of quiet bush waterfalls.

“My latest video “Australia’s Gold Coast” was shot over a period of 2 weeks in March 2014 on the Gold Coast of Queensland Australia. The video was created for Gold Coast Tourism. Join me on a timelapse tour of the Gold Coast’s famous beaches, modern cities, lush rainforests, and much more.”

Capra’s previous time-lapses have been featured by Discovery Channel, National Geographic, Animal Planet, Panasonic and Huffington Post. His time-lapse of Iceland, Midnight Sun, shot over 17 days and 2900 miles, earned him Grand Prize in the X Prize Foundation Exploration Contest, an award that included $10,000 toward a photography trip to Antarctica.
